Abstract

Dr. Christopher Moriates is the Assistant Dean for Healthcare Value at Dell Medical School, at the University of Texas at Austin. He is also Executive Director for Costs of Care, an international nonprofit focused on clinical insights that improve care at a lower cost. He is also the creator of the Choosing Wisely STARS program in the United States, a national education program teaching medical students about healthcare value. Dr. Moriates is the author of "Understanding Value-Based Healthcare," a guidebook for current and future clinicians.
