Abstract

Serial cardiovascular magnetic resonance evaluation of children and young adults with sickle cell disease (SCD) who underwent hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) showed that the mean ECV, representing diffuse myocardial fibrosis, decreased by 3.4% from the baseline to 12-months post HCT.
